Volkswagen ID.5: The Future of Electric Driving
The Volkswagen ID.5 is the latest addition to Volkswagen's electric vehicle lineup, and we're hugely excited to make it available to our rental market as it's designed to provide drivers with a more sustainable and enjoyable driving experience compared to standard petrol & diesel vehicles. Here are some of the core features that make the ID.5 stand out.
Zero Emissions
The ID.5 is a fully electric vehicle, meaning it produces zero emissions while driving. This makes it an environmentally-friendly choice for corporate customers looking for a more eco-friendly fleet, or even just our everyday customer who is looking for a quieter ride and want to reduce their carbon footprint.
Performance
The ID.5 is powered by a 77 kWh battery pack and an electric motor that delivers 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. This translates to a 0-60 mph time of just 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 99 mph. With a range of up to 360 miles on a single charge (WLTP), the ID.5 is perfect for long-distance driving.
Design
The ID.5 features a sleek, sporty design with a coupe-like silhouette and bold character lines. The front of the vehicle is dominated by a large VW logo and striking LED headlights, while the rear features a unique light bar that spans the width of the vehicle. Inside, the ID.5 boasts a spacious and modern cabin with high-quality materials and cutting-edge technology.
Technology
The ID.5 is loaded with advanced technology, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system with voice recognition, wireless charging, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. The ID.5 also features Volkswagen's IQ.Drive suite of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and emergency braking.
Sustainability
As a fully electric vehicle, the ID.5 is a sustainable choice for drivers who want to reduce their environmental impact. The battery pack is made from sustainable materials, including recycled and bio-based materials, and can be recycled at the end of its life.
